Cooking & The Crown
December 4th 7pm
Join us for our last event of the year
as we welcome Food writer and Restaurant Critic Tom Parker Bowles
Tom needs no introduction. A font of knowledge when it comes to food and restaurants, Tom recently launched his latest book ‘Cooking and The Crown’, featuring royal recipes from every monarch from Queen Victoria to King Charles III.
Cooking and the Crown has over 100 recipes for every occasion from breakfasts, picnic lunches and dinners, to coronations and state banquets. Sophisticated creations feature alongside dishes of surprising simplicity, combining historical insights with modern tastes. And for one night only we will be serving four courses from the book, so you really can dine like a King or Queen for the night!
Tom Parker Bowles
Tom is a godson of King Charles III, and his mother, Camilla, is Queen.
Tom has been an award-winning food writer for over 20 years, is the author of eight books on food (including the bestselling Fortnum & Mason cookbooks) and is the restaurant critic for The Mail on Sunday. He is also a contributing editor for Esquire, Country Life and Condé Nast Traveller, plus a regular judge on the BBC’s Masterchef.
Each chapter of his latest book is accompanied by fascinating tales of royal kitchens, chefs and culinary traditions and predilections. Weaving together material from the royal archives, contemporary accounts and personal insight, Cooking and the Crown paints a vivid picture of royal tastes and traditions, as far back as Victorian times.
Tom will be signing copies of his book on the night which will be available to buy at £25 each.
