Last year, Mark relaunched his Hix Smokin’ House range with Chesil Smokery – just 20 minutes away from The Oyster & Fish House in Bridport.

Chesil Smokery is a great local smokery with their own trout farm and we have always enjoyed their smoked meat and fish products, so it seemed a natural fit to put on an event for you to enjoy Mark’s smoked fish, as well as their own cured and smoked meats. All of the fish sent to the smokery is caught off the South West coast (apart from the trout of course with is a Chalk Stream trout) and sent straight from the fishing boat to the smokery, so it cannot get more local than that!

You may already be familiar with the range of Castlewood wines, grown and produced just 10 minutes away from the Fish House. We are so lucky to have a vineyard of this quality on our doorstep. Owner, Rob Corbett will be creating a wine flight which you can choose to pair with your dinner, as well as sharing his knowledge on wine-making.

Joining Mark for the Hix Smokin’ House Dinner will be our hosts Mark and Fiona Firth of Chesil Smokery and Rob Corbett, owner of Castlewood Wines and vineyard. While enjoying a 4-course meal created by Mark for the evening, you will have plenty of time to chat to Mark and Fiona about the smokery and also pick up some top tips for smoking and curing at home. Rob will be on hand to talk to you about his stunning wines and new projects that might be coming up!
